In the summer of 2025, the VJHS Endowment funded an English language teacher training program at the prestigious University of Oxford in the United Kingdom.
The English language pedagogy training took place at one of the world’s top universities. There, the teacher gained invaluable experience and knowledge, which she brought back to our high school.
“The opportunity to attend the training for English teachers organized by Oxford meant a great deal to me. We have diverse, high-quality, and valuable training programs in Lithuania as well, however, immersing myself in the language and its teaching for two weeks, and interacting as well as collaborating with teachers from around the world was an invaluable experience. I’m returning to the new school year not only having learned a lot, but also feeling deeply inspired to engage, strengthen my personal connection with students, and continue expanding my teaching repertoire. I can’t wait to apply the experience I’ve gained at our school. “
